Vintage Bell System Central Office Soldering Iron Stand - Western Electric - 10 1/2" long BELL SYSTEM, CENTRAL OFFICE, SOLDERING IRON for a 'ROLLING LADDER'. W95 & V120. Nice condition with original 20 foot long cord. This type of soldering iron was used to solder connections on the Central Office Main Frame in the days of mechanical switches. The main frames very very high. The 'base' of the soldering iron 'fit onto' a step on the wooden rolling ladder. See the last photo-the base retracts and then locks on the ladder.
