Craftsman Drill Press (Floor Model)

The drill press has been restored to near new condition. it is a 15-1/2 inch model that will drill to the center of a 15-1/2 inch board/circle. (I know the manual says 15 inches, but I measured it, its 15-1/2 inches.) The drill press was manufactured by King-Seeley and sold under the Craftsman brand by Sears Roebuck. This is a solid cast iron piece of equipment. It is not a Home Depot Chinese plastic piece of junk. It was manufactured in America and built to last. King Seeley was a major tool manufacturer and its products were considered to be top-of-the-line quality. The press has a quill with a four-inch drilling capacity and sports a 4-speed pulley drive. It is constructed of cast iron and was built in the USA during a time when quality really mattered. The drill press is heavy and the weight dampens vibration for a smooth drilling action.
